Sana Ullah - Research Associate I

Sana Ullah completed his BS (4 years) degree in Biotechnology, with distinction, from the University of Malakand, Pakistan, in the year 2017. His bachelor’s research project was related to the biomedical application of phyto-therapeutics. He earned multiple scholarships during his bachelor’s studies. He subsequently completed his Master of Philosophy degree in Biotechnology (2018-2020) from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. His research project focused on identifying drug resistance-associated amino acid substitutions in the Hepatitis C Virus. Additionally, he worked on other projects related to molecular biology and drug discovery. During his master’s, he was rewarded with “Departmental Merit Scholarship” and “Frontier Education Foundation Scholarship”. In 2021, he served as a “Molecular Biologist” at a diagnostic company in Islamabad, Pakistan. He also gained experience as a 'Research Associate' at the University of Nizwa, Oman. Currently, his research at Dr. Chen's Lab is centered around “Inhibiting biomechanical platelet aggregation to prevent arterial thrombosis without compromising hemostasis”.
