Bari Chowdhury - Research Scientist II

As a scientist II at UTMB, I apply my PhD in Immunology and my extensive research experience in various sectors of life science and biomedical research to advance the understanding and treatment of Thrombosis, cancer and neurological disorders. I have over seventeen years of experience in conducting and leading high-impact studies involving host-pathogen interaction, innate immunity, cell biology, prostate and breast cancer, tumor nerve interface, and neuropathy.

I have also explored the industrial and academic domains, where I have contributed to the discovery of consumer formulas, the development of plant growth devices, and production of higher quality porcine breed. In this journey, I have long been passionate and involved in the education and training of graduate and undergraduate students. I have gained expertise in rodent handling and surgical procedures, as well as multiple analytical and molecular techniques. I am passionate about scientific discovery and innovation, and I welcome the opportunity to collaborate with other researchers and professionals who share my vision and mission.
